FlashAir W-03 Software Update Tool

Procedure

Mac

  1. Download FlashAir W-03 Software Update Tool (for Mac OS) "FlashAirFWUpdateToolV3_v30002_Km.zip".
  2. When using Safari, "FlashAirFWUpdateToolV3_v30002_K.app" appears automatically. Depending on your environment or setting, "FlashAirFWUpdateToolV3_v30002_K.app" may not appear. If "FlashAirFWUpdateToolV3_v30002_K.app" does not appear, double-click "FlashAirFWUpdateToolV3_v30002_Km.zip" to unzip it.
  3. Drag and drop the unzipped "FlashAirFWUpdateToolV3_v30002_K.app" onto the required installation folder (for example, "Applications" folder).

Windows

  1. Download FlashAir W-03 Software Update Tool (for Windows ) "FlashAirFWUpdateToolV3_v30002_Cw.zip".
  2. Right-click the downloaded "FlashAirFWUpdateToolV3_v30002_Cw.zip" and select "Extract All...". Select a destination to save the extracted folder and click "Extract".
  3. Double-click "FlashAirFWUpdateToolV3_v30002_C.exe" in the extracted folder and Installation Wizard will launch.
  4. Follow the instructions from Installation Wizard and install the Tool.
    • FlashAir Software Update Tool (for Windows ) requires Microsoft .NET Framework. If required version of .NET Framework is not installed on your computer, the message which asks its downloading and installation will be displayed. So please install the software update tool with your computer connected to the Internet. And if Windows on your computer is not up to date, the installation of .NET Framework might fail. Please update your Windows using Windows Update.
    • You need administrative privileges on your Microsoft Windows computer to use the FlashAir Software Update Tool.

  • Expand the condition in which photos are displayed with thumbnails on FlashAir apps or web browser, thereby some photos modified by other applications (such as a retouching tool) will be displayed.
  • A malfunction in which the wireless LAN startup image, the default image file in FlashAir, ("DCIM" > "100__TSB" > "FA000001.JPG") cannot be displayed in some cameras is modified. In the case of executing "Initialize the card" with FlashAir Configuration Software after update, use FlashAir Configuration Software V3.0.3 or a later version.
  • Disable photoshare function using web browser. To use photoshare function, use Android™ / iOS apps and set SSID and password for photoshare mode.
